Andalusite is a natural high-alumina refractory mineral raw material widely used in the manufacture of high alumina refractory bricks and monolithic refractories.
During high-temperature firing, andalusite converts in-situ into mullite, accompanied by slight expansion, which effectively compensates for shrinkage in refractory formulations. This property gives refractory products excellent volume stability, thermal shock resistance, and long service life.
Due to its stable quality and cost-effective performance, andalusite is commonly used in steel, cement, petrochemical, glass, and power industries.
