JM26 mullite insulating fire brick is a lightweight refractory material manufactured from high-purity alumina, mullite, and selected lightweight aggregates. With a bulk density of 0.6-1.0 g/cm³, it provides excellent insulation performance, reduced heat storage, and improved energy efficiency for industrial kilns and furnaces.
It is widely used as hot-face or backup lining in ceramics, metallurgy, non-ferrous, glass, and heat-treatment industries.
Features Of Mullite Insulating Brick
Low Density (0.6-1.0 g/cm³) - significantly reduces furnace wall load and improves thermal shock resistance
Low Thermal Conductivity - enhances energy saving and lowers fuel consumption
Stable at High Temperatures (Up to 1260°C) - ensures long service life even under repeated heating and cooling
High Mullite Content - provides excellent resistance against chemical corrosion and slag attack
Smooth Surface & Accurate Dimensions - easy cutting and installation
Environmentally Friendly, Low Iron Content - suitable for high-purity applications
Applications Of Mullite Insulating Brick
Ceramics kilns (tunnel kilns, shuttle kilns, roller kilns)
Heat-treatment furnaces and forging furnaces
Non-ferrous metal melting furnaces
Petrochemical furnaces and cracking units
Glass annealing and backing furnaces
Incinerators and boilers
Hot-face and backup lining for various industrial furnaces
Advantages Of Mullite Insulating Brick
Low thermal conductivity reduces heat loss and lowers operating energy costs.
Ensures high resistance to deformation under high-temperature conditions.
Suitable for kilns with frequent heating-cooling cycles.
Reduces structural load and supports fast bricklaying.
Standard size: 230×114×65mm
Custom sizes available according to kiln design.
